MSI N650Ti-1GD5/OC GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1GB Video Card $110AR @Frys

was going to post this, but its run of the mill after rebate.. they need to drop another 10 bucks to make me take the leap.

Im looking for a small upgrade myself. Was hoping to I could find a GTX 460 on the cheap somewhere. These are good cards too but like another said - they need to drop the price I bit more. Ive got a GTX 260 on one of my comps along with an old Q6600 going at 3GHz. Not much you can do to upgrade other than a GTX 460 as far as I know, then it just gets too lopsided and bottlenecked.

Most games are GPU bound, so with a Q6600 you can go far beyond a GTX 460 and still not be CPU bottlenecked in most titles.

that freakin titan.. i saw the newegg video and geebus! now thats a mans video card!!! but holy hell 1 grand!... eh i really wished office depot or staples sold the 650 ti man would i milk that deal. and no newegg promo codes to stack x2 otherwise i might have jumped on the one for $117 ar but still too damn rich. i guess im drawing the like at $100ar not 105. sense of it being a slickdeal i guess so if newegg or frys trolls this.. toss the 650 ti for $100 ar and get a slickdeal shitstorm!

I've got an aging 8800 GTX and am waiting on a 650 ti for $100 flat myself, no rebates. Might do a 660 for a little bit more. Bring back the AC3 game code and we can make a deal!

Staples sells the evga 650 ti, online only though. I've been tracking the price so far but it hasn't hit the sweet spot yet.

hey guys, i'm kinda of outdated with CPUs and video cards having assembled my last system like 7yrs ago and now i got Dell Inspiron 530 with the older Intel Q6600.
Deciding to just upgrade the GPU and PSU (currently have 350w only), just to confirm, this 650ti w 1gb should be a lot better than a gt 650 w 2gb right? I see in geforce.com that of course the ti has more speed. I just dunno how the extra 1gb affects performance. Btw I'm currently auditioning gt 640 2gb but reading that having ddr5 vs ddr3 shld have a big impact on speed plus gt650 ti has more CUDA cores.


Right now, I'm only trying to prepare for SC2 HotS.

The 7850 deal for $150 after rebate with Bioshock 3 and Tomb Raider codes is a good deal.

1GB is good up to 1080p although a few games with ultra high res add on texture packs like Skyrim can use more. The 650ti will be faster in almost all games than the 650 though.

650 TI has double the stream processors of the GTX 650 which help more than double the memory, the extra memory helps a bit if you're using higher resolutions than 1080P

Thx for the replies. I actually have 2 x 24" with 1920x1200 res
I don't plan to do heavy gaming besides SC2 HotS and maybe Assasins' Creed that's why I only plan to upgrade GPU and PSU on my old Inspiron 530. I can also game w just 1 x 24" to not overload the system.

So you guys think that it's still better to have this 650ti 1gb than the 650 2gb or my current 640 2gb?
