http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...r_asin_lnk It seems per this review that this is the version sold to cable companies, not meant for retail sale. Mine did not appear to be used. The power adapter and lan cable were both sealed in plastic, the modem had the plastic tape on the face, and the Motorola sticker sealing the modem in the plastic did not appear to have ever been opened. I had to call the cable company to get it provisioned, but it's been working fine. I'm getting about 7 or 8 more MB down than I was with my 6121. |

Got my 6141 set up. Seems to be working. setup was quick with BHN.
Does anybody know how to find the settings -- bonded channels etc. I have standard internet service from RR and have not seen any improvement in speed with the new modem. BTW got Square trade warranty on ebay product. about 10 dollars |

192.168.100,1 depending upon your routers subnet you may have to plug a computer directly into the modem to access the modems configuration page. |

received my 6141 today, got it set up and working with TWC. found out 2 things very interesting.
1. my old ethernet cable that was connected with TWC's cisco modem does not work with the new 6141 modem, i used the included cable came with the 6141, then my router could get an IP address from TWC. 2. if you used the 6141, u will get a slower speed, i assume TWC has better control if bandwidth on this DOCIS 3.0 modem, did a few speedtest, barely 15mb downloads, before i swapped out the old cisco DOCIS 2.0 modem, i ran 2 speedtest, was getting around 25mb downloads. If you are on standard services like i do, i dont suggest u get the 6141 modem, but should get the older DOCIS 2.0 modem, like the SB5101 to take advantage of the faster speed. the SB5101 is on sale for $19 including shipping. gonna have to order one |

$67 offer accepted. I'm glad this semi-old thread popped up again. I was just looking for one of these so I can tell TWC to go screw themselves (well, $4 a month worth of go screw yourself).

Update: Installed the modem on March 4th and kept having internet connectivity issues. It'll work for about 5-10 minutes and then when I say for example download a large file it loses connection. Same with playing a game, maybe played like 5 mins of BF 3 and it would lose signal and go out.
Decided to chat with a TWC rep to see if maybe it was something on their end being that they may have coded it incorrectly on my account. The rep mentioned that my download/upload signal was too low and that what was causing the issue. He mentioned he enable speedboost or boosted the signal up and now I haven't had any problems yet. Hopefully, it was just on their end. Still not getting anywhere close to the 50mbps speed I'm paying for now. Been hovering around 30mpbs since install. Got some time this weekend to re-run cables and check and make sure everything is running/hooked up properly. Someone mentioned something about channel bonding. Like my amber light is orange and not blue when it's connected to my router and then when it's hardwired to the modem it turns blue so maybe I need to change the channel on my router to match the modem? Not sure, all this is somewhat new to me. Anyways, I'll post another update if anything new is discovered. Last edited by gpman06; 03-08-2013 at 09:54 AM.. Reason: Spl Chk |
