true but I've learned sadly a lot of companies use 3rd parties for their rebates processing,
and they tend to be sticklers for details got nocked out of a rebate one time because in the
fine print it said include a self address stamped envelope and I missed it.. never seen that
for a rebate ever..sigh... I've had rebates that I check up on, and their like yea we got your
submission, they cut me a check like the next day and mail it, they where way late... if I
didn't check up... they never would have paid me...I have no doubt.


So always keep copies and mark the calendar when you should be paid by and checkup..

DO IT. I ordered two of these a few weeks ago and got them overclocked to 1150/1550and X-fired (got them up to 1200/1600 on the single card but backed off a little in crossfire, just in case). Soooo much smoother at 2560x1600 rez than the single 7970 I had before. These "boost" cards come with much higher stock voltages than normal (1.25V), so they're overclocking beasts. Disable ULPS, force constant voltage (no boost) and let 'em fly!

I guess that was the same logic I used when I got my 5850 several years ago and have been sorry ever since. Not that it is a terrible card, but the drivers are so annoying. Oh and OC completely depends on luck of the draw. I got a card everyone says is a monster overclocker.. and got almost nothing out of it.

Got it through newegg with the 10% off. If any wants so advice on how to do it here is what i did..

i had items in cart and opened chat..i played dumb saying i was ready to check out but promo code isnt working..
She then asked for the error the code was giving me and i copied the code which says it cannot be combined with gifts.. .
So she goes on the whole thing saying blah blah cant use this cause its a gift..
so my come back was it is a gift from AMD not newegg and amazon has the same offer with the free gift and anywhere else i buy it these games come with it. she said no problem place your order and we will refund you the 10%..
i copied the link OP put to amazon and showed her it said those games were included and it worked.. i hope it helps

I might be interested in this card...but I'm not a fan of original owner warranties...it just kills the resell value...I am a big fan of EVGA/MSI/ASUS/Gigabyte because they don't care for receipts or previous owners...as long as it's their card with a valid serial number, they will take care of you

I'd buy the games for $50 if anyone wants to sell.

Last time I check which was about 3 months ago, yes. Still tied to owner.

Depends on how the overclock. is My 670 can go up to 1400Mhz core when overclocked, which is pretty high for a 670.

The product you listed is still a great value. But it's cooler is inferior, and its louder too. Voltage cannot be unlocked without a bios mod.

Agreed, but most people arent going to do that, you know. They'll toss it in a system and go. Those are tweaker options, even if they are easier in the Sapphire.

And yes, the cooler is louder, but again, in most people's systems they simply arent going to hear it. My Antec 1200 is not excessively loud, but it does still have 7 fans in it, none of them are maxed, but I cant hear my single fan stock cooler Radeon 5870 in it, which runs hotter than a 7950, especially with the stock cooler.
