I got the price matched boxed version on Amazon. Not only does that mean I can transfer the activation code at a later time, but my box came with two free guest pass codes... which means my nephews can play for free!

But just like the Diablo 3 craze, I just don't understand why everyone gets their rocks off when blizzard/activision makes any game and the price never drops on them. lol
Because back in the day, whatever Blizzard did was golden. It really was. They had score after score. Then things changed, but they have somehow managed to maintained some of that glamor - or at least the hope for that former glory. People still eat it up.

Yeah but that's what I don't get, I'd assume the typical RTS player is "smarter than the average joe" and not just get a madden/COD like fever and just "have" to buy the next thing that comes out in the franchise just because.

Ugh, I know I'm not going to get anywhere here so I'll just butt out now but hopefully someone can see what I was getting at.

I wish the retailers selling the game would, they won't have me as their SC2 customer until they get with the times.

Well it seems Blizzard has maintained the same level of customer service that made me quit before.

First I find I can no longer access my account because their stupid authenticator is no longer synced. And there is no option to resync.

So I have to resend all my personal info again with picture ID to unlock it.

Get a message from Customer service saying it's all fixed.

So then I try to log in. Using correct login and password. Click on the Battle.net store and

Tada!!

"YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN LOCKED DUE TO SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY."

Trying to buy a game is suspicious activity?

Now I have to do this again (and wait another 3 days.) Beginning to wonder if perhaps their site was hacked to begin with...

I bought the digital version from Blizzard, where can I find the game key to install it? If I check the order status online it says queued.

NVM figured it out

they stopped the guest pass a long time ago. They changed it to starter editions now... so you can still play on sc2 for any amount of time but you are limited just like WOW starter pass.

Alright, while I DO agree you also have to look at the bigger picture. Activision probably dictates a lot of the pricing. I believe a lot more people would pick up the game if it were on sale for $10. Like any big game they like to keep the price high. Look at Call of Duty. Its total trash and still they make money off of it. The difference here is that Starcraft 2 is worth the money you play. I dont know why anyone complains about Battle.net to be honest. You not only get one of the best RTS campaigns out there with this game but you also get a fully featured multiplayer that blows all others out of the water. Look at these videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffLwJuj8ZbI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feat...wS5t2SLsDo

All or most of those features have already been implemented into SC2 WoL in the last patch. Its awesome. They keep refining the game as if its an MMO and it shows. The interface at release and the interface now are extremely different.

Pick it up, enjoy it. You cant find anything else like it.
The new features are only for Heart of the Swarm?

they keep locking up my Battle.net account over and over again as well. but aren't a lot of other companies the same? i was just trying to buy the day-1 digital bundle of Tomb Raider from PSN store a while ago, didn't have enough funds in Wallet, so i added a prepaid $20 AmEx card I got from doing rebates. added $10, success, and then tried to add another $10 and got denied because Sony made a test $1 charge before so my card only has $9 right now. no problem, so i switched to another card but could not add money to Wallet anymore. tried other cards I have but got the same error message. i think that failed charge somehow flagged my PSN account for fraud. might need to call Sony tomorrow.
