These are listed as closed ear (fits around/over instead of on your ears), but they are not closed back. That means if you are buying headphones so that other people don't hear what you're listening to, these probably aren't what you're looking for. Open back does tend to lend itself to a better soundstage, though.
how is this different from the regular Siberia v2 for ps3 (but compatible with xbox and pc) ? Im surprised that this is getting a thumb up at $60 since the regular siberia v2 for ps3 had showed up on SD a few times at $40.
edit: I forgot to add that this headset is pretty awesome though. They have a very well designed build that allow it to be sturdy and lightweight at the same time. Very comfortable for long sessions of gaming (3+ hrs). The virtual surround sound is great. Very good durability. I was using this daily for 8 months and not a single problem despite of a few drops (from a 4ft desk) and a few accidental wire yanking. It is now boxed up in my closet as a backup pair simply because I scored a sweet deal on the plantronic gamecom 780 for $40.
