Everybody is perfectly happy with the notion of cutting Federal spending on the programs and services which they do not benefit from.
Personally, I have a severely autistic child, and I am very afraid of what might happen if the funding cuts stop her from going to her special school. On a personal level, the "sequester" is very real and worrisome to me. |

If I appear to be ignoring your posts, it's probably because you are on my ignore list.

Sure. If the bully also drove you home from school, and was actually protecting you from OTHER bullies. And helped you with your homework. Oh, and let us not forget. You always have the option of not paying the bully and just attending a different school where the bullies take your money and then beat you up anyway. No matter how helpful the feature, how easy it is to disable, or how good your intentions, someone somewhere will hate it and think you're a monster for implementing it.- Anonymous Developer

I'm not sure what to find more amazing. That you managed to travel back in time to the 1800's, or that you somehow found internet access. Anyway, your assertion is so absurd that I have no further interest in talking to you.

![]() The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism',they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened - Norman Thomas,6-time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America The federal government has taken too much tax money from the people, too much authority from the States, and too much liberty with the Constitution - R. Then it would be a real inflation adjusted cut of 2%. |

Why such hostility towards people with kids with special needs? |

Any closures or extreme actions not commensurate with a 2% decrease to the increase are NOT caused by the sequester, but by those making such agenda-driven decisions for the express purpose of making a political point, rather than doing their job which is to run things the best they can with the resources they have, which is what they are paid to do. Moreover, the GOP made Obama the offer to give him the leeway to decide where to make the cuts so they would be least painful, but he essentially spat in their face and promised to veto the measure if it came to his desk.
the fact is resources are limited, and government can not, nor should it, do and be everything to everyone. You and your ilk's tactic of essentially screaming the equivalent of 'racist' at the slightest hint of something you don't like doesn't help reach a solution, but only exacerbates the problem. Thank you for a perfect opportunity for what we parents call a teachable moment. Last edited by Radeck; 03-01-2013 at 08:04 PM.. |
