Hertz Codes/Deals Worth Mentioning

This was way more $$ that using advantage rental cars website. I clicked on a link through Southwest after booking a flight and saved around $20 bux just going to advantages website and using a coupon code.

7 days (Tues-Tues)
Economy = $143.87
Full Size = $157.86

This is only the second time I have rented a car but seems like a better deal. These prices were for San Diego Airport w/ shuttle service out the door, taxes included. I might wait a few hours to book if anyone has any suggestions on making this a slicker deal. I used code DC3130 which was suppost to be 10% off but only took off $5.99. These were also the pay now prices, saved $6 bux...

Not totally on topic...
but I was surprised it seems worth my time
to rack up some Hertz points using e-rewards.

You can only get 500 Hertz points once every 3 months,
for $60 of credit, about what I earn from one or two surveys a week.

500 points only gets you a free weekend day,
but it includes a surprising number of premium cars.
I now have 2500 points for not that much effort.

Any advice on how to stack upgrades on a corporate rate? Going to SJC, 4 days, $42/day for standard class on my corporate rate (inc. LDW) but would love an upgrade! THX
