Singapore Airlines (an airline always with super high ratings) has select roundtrip international flights on sale for as low as $778.47. This price is valid on flights departing from New York, NY, (JFK) to Frankfurt, Germany, (FRA) on March 12; prices obviously vary depending on the travel cities and dates chosen.

LA-Tokyo-$856 R/T

Available destinations include Seoul, Manila, Tokyo, Singapore, etc. Book by March 31 for travel through June 9.

Instead of flying across the Pacific ocean, it chooses to cross the Atlantic ocean and makes stops somewhere in Europe before reaching final destinations in Asia. As result, the overall time for your trip will be MUCH longer compared to other airlines. Cheaper will make your wallet happy but not your backs!

A couple years ago I flew Chicago-Amsterdam-Singapore.The plane was dented by the loading people in Amsterdam.They refused to put us on another plane or airline.We were stuck in that city for 3 days until another plane came from Singapore to pick us up.
On the way back from Singapore the plane had a 12 hour delay in Singapore.
After complaining about the lost time , etc. , they sent me a $20 bottle of wine .....
After that I started flying Korean.
Singapore doesn't fly from Chicago any more..............
