Can this be used for the iphone 5?

I got this for Christmas this year at Best Buy.It was either $30 or $40 on sale. It's really a nice little unit. I use my 3gs in it. If you use the Sirius radio app also,you can control it(pause,play) with the controller on top or with the remote. A feature I love. Definately a worthy little player

does this have preset buttons, so that i can save multiple radio stations and change to them without having to "tune' to them.

I had this and returned it. I play the radio mostly when I'm getting ready for work, and this was too bass heavy with not enough midrange. So it's terrible for talk radio and other formats.

Plus setting the alarm was not intuitive at all; I had to use the manual to figure it out. I didn't want to have to fish out the manual every time I need to set a new alarm.

Replaced it with an iHome clock radio that at least has an iphone app you can use to set the alarm.

The design was the best thing about the philips.

Can these be accessed if the iPhone isn't docked?

Their is a button on top called source.You hit that to pick either iphone dock,radio,or mp3 link. You can have the iphone docked and still listen to terrestrial radio if that's what you mean?
