As of January 1st, when Kohl's Cash expires, you can no longer use it. They are strictly enforcing this new policy.

So, based on these parameters, and also considering Free Shipping. Lets also exclude tax for simplicity sake.

Total = ( $100 - $20 ) x 0.70 = $56

*** because kohls online will always seek to apply Kohls cash first, and then the % discount.

But how to achieve

Total = ( $100 * 0.70 ) - $20 = $50

Only a 6 dollar difference. But imagine if we're buying LOTS of stuff... Or have lots of kohls cash.

How to get the second calculation?????

Just make sure 100% that they do take it back...the stores around Houston don't at all and they are very strict about it. I think every store has room to make up their own rules.

Force the issue with a manager. The Kohl's Cash continues to scan as a legitimate coupon up to two days following the expiry. Following that is YMMV. If they do accept expired KC beyond two days of the original expiration date, it will be deducted as a dollar off transaction discount (and will not be refunded if items are returned, unlike what happens if you used it during valid use dates and then attempted return)

That is correct. The other fellow said kohl's cash couldn't be used with 30% off coupons, period--and that simply isn't the case. As far as I'm aware, there is no way to get them to take a Kohl's Cash discount after the % reduction. I've tried it instore, having the cash coupon scanned after the transaction total had already been calculated post-30%.

Maybe not instore, but what about online? There's a pretty specific expiration stated on the cash card. If I want to use my Kohl's Cash for an online purchase with the online-only 30% code on 3/06, are you SURE it will still work past the 3/05 expiration?

I've asked this question like 3-4 times already, no answers--instead everyone keeps saying Kohl's Cash never expires (good for at least 2 days). Does anyone actually know the answer?
