Wow. That was easily the most frustrating online shopping experience, ever. 20 minutes to buy two. Added two to the cart, spent a minute or two actually trying to find my closest store (it refused to show it). Added two to the cart, went to check out, said it couldn't. Went back, removed one, it let me check out. Then I did the same thing again, at the same store. So, it let me buy two from the same store, just not under a single order.
Their site and javascripting might be the slowest thing ever. |

[Does this have de-sulfation?]
No. You'll need to spend about 5 times as much for good high frequency de-sulfator such as the very fine Battery Minder. Will not top off battery 100%.. Match your specific battery maintenance needs to the proper device. Not slick if replacing batteries before their time. BT is old school. Only The Diehard one with the large LED screen was a much better deal at $23 (reg $40- on sale regularly). 3 amp charge rate, smart ic control, MOFSET. edit: This BT is lower amperage than I first thought. Comprehensive battery and charger info here: http://www.batterystuff.com/batte...g1100.html These guys are great to deal with. Oregon, no tax. The Noco 1100 has more than twice the effective power. Advanced switch mode smart charger. 85vac-130vac input, Starts w/batt voltage as low as 2vdc, Chargers, conditions most car and mc batteries 6-12vdc, maintains any battery. Low noise, high efficiency. Coupon brings the price down to $34 no brainer compared to the old school.B Tnder. http://www.batterystuff.com/batte...12151.html This Battery Minder is $45. full time de-sulfation, chage, maintain. Rave reviews around the net. Last edited by timbertop; 03-02-2013 at 07:10 PM.. Reason: more specs |

LordAthens I agree.
I had to make some other stops, so 1) I stopped by the 1st Kmart grabbed two (2) off the shelf took them to the register. Explained to cashier I tried to order 3 online, displayed out of stock online when I tried to ship them and site referred me to the check local store. Manager (maybe) type person came over explained they can't the match online price, but I could order them. Logged on in store showed her 3 in the cart, reduced it to one and bought it. She mentioned it won't let you buy the single remaining unit online taking inventory to zero (0) either. Weird... 2) at Kmart #2, grabbed all three off the shelf went straight to customer service, explained I tried to order 3 online (same as before). Girl contacted someone over headset and they told her no problem, done in less than 10 minutes. Since I was planning to throw these in fathers day pile and present stuffers I wanted to order 4 and free ship them and avoid the store, but it was limited to 3 and then they went out of stock online. I had not walked in to a Kmart in while, but both were like ghost towns, it does not seem they will last long like that. The online purchasing experience was not the best, maybe ordering one at a time is the way to do it if you only want one or two. OP Repped and thanks |

Based on my prior experience, on November 4, 2010, I bought another Battery Tender Jr. from Amazon for another infrequently driven car. It is now less than 1 year later, and that Battery Tender Jr. got so hot that the plastic case buckled and separated at the seam. So, planning to return it under warranty, I read their terms. Not only do I have to pay to ship that defective unit back to Deltran (which I expected), they also charge a fee for "Warranty Evaluation, Shipping & Handling"! That is OUTRAGEOUS! Since I have my receipt, my fee would be only $7.95 (if no receipt, fee is $11.95). It would cost me $18.90 ($7.95 plus $10.95 USPS Flat Rate medium box) to return it (or $22.90 if I didn't have a receipt - which is more than the $21.39 cost of a new one from Amazon delivered!) Why bother with a warranty claim? If that was Deltran's plan from the outset - to discourage warranty claims - their so-called "warranty" is a fraudulent misrepresentation. |
