Fair price but I too prefer the Nook HD if it pops up again. This is nice for kids but Gen 1 = no freetime.

Hi, I bought recently a kindle fire hd 16gb for my kids recently and have not opened yet. Can I ask why you prefer nook hd than kindle? Thanks.

We were given a Nook HD+ for Christmas - it's great hardware. However, I found that the child profiles only seemed to apply to the Nook launcher. I rooted the device so that I could get access to the multitude of Android apps that I had already purchased. If you replace the launcher (e.g. with Nova launcher), then the Nook child profiles are of no use.

I did re-purpose a first gen Nook Color and used Kids Place [google.com] as a captive environment.

Heads up, it is working again. Just grabbed a 6.

How can you select a 6? When I click the link it takes me to a 5 everytime. Thanks!

Pretty sad this makes FP, but the CNET / best buy deal did not for the same price. Those were refurbs with 90 day warranties too.

Will cowboom cancel duplicate orders? I had to place 3 before I figured out how to get a 6. I don't really want the others, but they are already placed and I'm afraid they will cancel all my orders since there is a limit of 1 per customer.
