I got a black for Xmas from gf and it has issues with recognizing a few mSDHC cards; even ones I have used in it before. Battery life is sub par and worse when you use mobile app. I figure those issues plague silver and the whole line as well.

If you guys gonna et the silver one, why not just buy the HERO 2 ? It's the same exact one, except it's much cheaper and only a bit bulkier.

Great deal. I've had a gopro 3 black for a few weeks, and yes it does crash A LOT! But the quality and sharpness of the video is second to none (that's this tiny anyway). I've decided to put up with the regular hard boots to achieve this quality of video, especially at this price. Always keep extra batteries, you're lucky to get 60 min of video per charge.
