In fact I'd say it's more likely she'd keep it confidential for a while than destroy it. |

I might turn over my only copy to the cops, but not a self-interested, 3rd party like the teacher's boss. |

Bonkman, I could be wrong, but doubt it, but arent generally *public* spaces open to any kind of recording as there is no perceived right to privacy?
If what you imply is true, then school cameras which catch fights and thieving students would also not be admissable proof lol, but im sure they quite are. |

Maybe he ordered a teacher to do random searches and that violates the students' rights. Either way, he's certainly self-interested. |

That's why I never parked my car in the school parking lot.

Good work ID'ing the teacher. "If an American is to amount to anything he must rely upon himself, and not upon the State; he must take pride in his own work, instead of sitting idle to envy the luck of others. He must face life with resolute courage, win victory if he can, and accept defeat if he must, without seeking to place on his fellow man a responsibility which is not theirs.” --- Theodore Roosevelt

I suppose the only fine line is what is private and for whom? Bathroom are private because well.. you expect a certain amount of privacy for the actions done there. A locker room falls under the same classification. But a teacher in a locker room? What is their purpose in a locker room? The assumption is that in a locker room, you're there to get changed etc.. I'd probably the wager the teacher never changed in that locker room once (which is just my guess). Let's take into account hidden cameras in stores etc.. They even have hidden cameras that record in state owned buildings and agencies. Or even consider nanny cams hidden to record care givers. bitter Pennsylvanian clinging to my guns and religion.. Obama called it out in 08.

or in the principal's office? see below
not the same as what happened here. and as far as i understand, nanny cams are allowed because people have the right to monitor their own home. Any guest of the home understands they are in someone else's house with someone else's stuff. Try putting nanny cams in your neighbors' house. Last edited by bonkman; 03-02-2013 at 05:19 PM..
