My family owns 2 jewelry stores. These are great watches. Consider a leather or polished band if you'd like the watch to have a classier feel. The movements in these watches are really quite good, considering the low entry fee.

if you dont wear it for a while it stops, kinda annoying if you have to sleep with it. i dont even bother with mine anymore, they should have a battery as a backup...

in 4 1..only have 3 conventional quartz watches w. batteries...damn U SDs...personally like the small form factor and the convenience and savings of a battery free existence are worth a try...

I have this watch in blue and I love it. It will die after about 18 hours of non wear. The canvas band is urban and rugged but I love how you can swap it with a leather band to dress it up. The face is classy, simple and timeless.
Some will think the face is too small but I like how it looks on my smaller wrists.

I love these watches. I have a beige one and a blue one and I replaced both watch straps a long time ago which was very easy once you have the right tool. I use an aviator strap and bond strap from time factors like the ones below. It is great because you can dress it up a little with a leather strap or keep it very utilitarian with a nice casual look if you opt for a nato strap. I have gotten complements on the beige one. Plus, it is cheap so you don't have to worry about losing it or breaking it like you would a $300+ watch.

It is true you have to wear it for a while or else it will stop, but this is a very minor inconvenience. In fact, if you wear a watch during the workday, it will usually carry over until the next day if you take it off when you get home. I can alternate between mine everyday and never have to wind it. It is kind of nice though that the watch won't work unless you wear it. It makes it seem less mechanical and more alive if you know what I mean. In any event, winding it up takes less than 30 seconds so some people are just looking for reasons to hate things.

A diamond ring is not a requirement for marriage. In fact, it's pretty much a cultural phenomena invented by the jewelry industry.

And, the fact that you're even concerned with the equality of engagement gifts is a better example of why you will never get married.
