Reps to JAARREK for the new code--> USE: DOW9 to get 30% off making it 16.09+tax

There's a new code for a greater discount and after my original post being a total flop it's actually turned out a great price thanks to all your help!

FWIW, I've been using this in my Yamaha V Star 1300 and it works great. No slippage or complaints.

$5 rebate should make this front page! Reps to Kalish for the rebate: Link [shell.com]

UPDATE: reps to mbick2 for a new link that allows you to submit for two rebates online: LINK [4myrebate.com]

My advice is that you print the rebate form before uploading the receipt because once you upload it you can't see the original form.

Snipped fine print from rebate:

Hmmm, I heard to use T6 (not this one), but even that oil has mixed reviews. Not sure if I'd put this in my bike.

You're right--I'm an idiot. Embarrassment

I've been using the T6 and have been very happy with it. I saw this "T" for sale and didn't pay attention that it wasn't the "T6". I guess I"ll be canceling it since, you're right, I wouldn't put this in my bike either.

edit: I found the T6 on sale, too, so I went back and edited the deal for those interested.

Nice! T6 ftfw! Any day! Smilie thanks!

USE: DOW9 to get 30% off making it 16.09+tax

PS: I've been running this T6 in my motorcycle since it was brand new, now at 20k it runs just like few years ago. Good oil Smilie

Still need to edit the "from" price in the OP, it should be $22.99, not $13.99.

I've been using the T6 since 2005, works fine as far as I can tell. Certainly I've never had any clutch slippage from it. I usually get it at Wal-Mart (currently $21.36), so this may not be THAT great a deal, but it's the only reason I ever go in there, and if it saves me from having to do that, that's cool.

Perfect for my SV. Thank you OP.

I just realized I use regular T still a great deal at less than $10 for a gallon.

This is fine for bikes, its rated for japanese motorcycles, used it in my hayabusa, and my ZX14R, no clutch slippage ...

I'm still on the wall about using this in my katana. It's air cooled and the oil runs MUCH hotter than water cooled bikes. The community always seems mixed on using this stuff over the much more expensive Castrol/Mobil bike-specific oils. Hrm.

Agreed. I've been using this for the past year in my Yamaha V Star 1300 and it's great. No slippage or complaints. Buying this now should get me through this upcoming season just fine.

You can use almost anything in a bike, as long as it is NOT energy conserving, and it is within the weight range, I have been riding fot over 30 years, and there was a time when there was not any motorcycle specific oils .... ran regular car oil in all my air cooled bikes, Suzuki GS1100, etc ... Rotella is good stuff, it even stands up to diesel standards ..

Yea, this is a great price for a great oil. If I didnt have 10 Qts sitting in the garage of Motul, I would get this for sure !

Just wanted to chime in and say that this is the best oil for bikes, hands down. Used to run it in all of my sport bikes and dual sports. HIGHLY recommended and this is a smoking deal. Jump on it!

Been using this in my '03 ST1300 since new, and I've gotten 55K trouble free so far. Highly recommended.
