Update: YMMV, evidently Microcenter is on an exclusion list of merchants that BB will not PM.

Can now price match to best buy!
Microcenter: instore pickup only
Bestbuy: instore pickup or free shipping!

3 days ago the i5 3570K was hot on SD for 199.99+shipping. That makes 189.99 w/ free shipping through best buy very enticing.

Today is first official day of essentially unrestricted Bestbuy matching to "local retail stores." I don't live anywhere close to a microcenter i.e. >150miles. Called bestbuy customer service and said "need price match on this processor." They checked Microcenter's website and offered me option for free shipping or local pickup. There's no way that this microcenter -> bestbuy policy can last but lets everyone who doesn't have Microcenter in their area have essentially free shipping access to those awesome loss leader deals on motherboards and processors which Microcenter is famous for.

Microcenter's deal is limited 1 in store pickup only.
Bestbuy is in store pickup or free shipping via price match.

They did not ask for my address during price match process up until asking where to ship. If this is current BB policy, you can do this from anywhere.

They have a list of like 20+ online retailers they will price match including newegg, tigerdirect and amazon... Saved me some money anyway

Yep sounds like if your local and go in they will match it...but that defeats the no microcenter nearby trick LMAO
