The only real negative is the amount of storage space. You can't put many large (500MB+) apps on it before you run out of space.

I was talking about the Official OTA Jellybean update not the rootable one since not every one knows how to root their tablets - nor mess with it,
As far as the storage - I believe it has a micro-sd card slot if Im not mistaken?

I recommend this phone and i did pay $250 maybe 6 months earlier...

For $18 more get the Nexus 7! Additionally the Nexus 7 comes with 16GB versus the Galaxy Tab 2 only comes with only 8GB. The Nexus 7 will have continued Android updates for years.

Additionally the Nexus 7 benchmarks nearly 2 times faster than the Galaxy Tab 2.

I think the plus which was only released about a year ago never got an update to ICS or JB. Do you really think Samsung is going to update your Galaxy Tab 2 to Android 5.0 (KLP) when it is released this summer?

the tab plus got ota ics since end of November 2012

for some reason these tablets were on sale at several locations in Canada for under $150 before xmas and i bot 2 at costco. My wife has the nexus 7 and i don't see a huge difference in resolution and the samsung has a decent camera and I got some nice pictures of manatees in tarpon springs, florida after forgetting my regular camera.. It has also replaced my gps in the car.Was very easy to jailbreak and overclock with CyanogenMod. I wish it took the same charger as my samsung phone and camera but only a small annoyance. Good product for the price.
