According to reviews, people say it makes sports more "vivid" and balances the color more effectively.

It might improve color balance or video processing on a cheap TV, but who knows?

I think it'd be fun to play around with and see if there's any difference... but I wouldn't pay $20 for the opportunity. Maybe if they make it FAR or like $3 to $5 AR, people will consider it.
