frys.com is in NY I want to see if BB will change this policy , because frys.com posts lots of deal which is instore only and only people who live next to a store would be able to go buy the frys instore deals. But since BB policy doesnt state a difference, it seems like a lot of good deals will be had at BB pricematching frys.com Last edited by oyouno; 03-03-2013 at 01:44 PM.. |

It sounds like people can attempt to do this price match online as well as bb.com
"Here's how: •If you find a qualifying lower price online, call 1-888-BEST BUY and direct a customer service agent to the web site with the lower price, or when visiting a Best Buy store, one of our employees will assist you. •On qualifying products, Best Buy will then verify the current price to complete the price match." There is a pretty slick 688 55in LG tv on frys.com... and bb carries the same tv at a sale price of 849. |

For anybody doubting the PM success, please remember that this is the same BB that allowed 50 off 100 to run rampant for about a day. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if corpo tightened up their policies on this and got the word out to store management, then down to frontline cashiers, within a few days, faster if this really gets abused. Even something along the lines of explicitly excluding frys-in-store-only, if not any online store that's in-store only. BB could even include online stores for calling to verify inventory. At the end of the day, policy's just words, and it'll be local management's discretion how to enforce the policy (and maybe higher up if you're willing to complain hard and long enough).
BTW, looking at the PM whitelist, I believe Frys and Home Depot are the likeliest sources for slick deals, so long as BB still has the common item in stock (YMMV on old items of course), since Frys.com does leave the odd item up even if it's sold out everywhere, and HD doesn't really do rebates *but* usually leaves even the final clearance prices up for a couple weeks. I'm not sure which other stores leave windows that wide open to use with BB PM. You can also get lucky with a price mistake PM (PMPM?) if you're quick w/ Amazon and OfficeMax who seem to be the usual culprits to leave a price mistake up for an hour or so. Although you wouldn't know it's a price mistake until they've closed it, so just know your prices and where to check histories. That probably showed up in the main big new BB PM policy thread, but I'm not sifting through that today. Last edited by mangodrink; 03-03-2013 at 02:27 PM.. Nothing Good Happens After 2 A.M.
