I know my questions should be in deal talk, but there are so many experts here. I know pretty much nothing about photography. However, I know I want the T4i and the 18-135mm STM lens. When will I need the 55-250mm if I am to use the 18-135mm? Something really close up?
What's the 40mm STM, beside its size, if I already have the 18-135mm STM?

I decided to go with Amazon even with the tax, for a no-hassle return (if necessary), the promo on the EF-S 55-250, and the 2% Amazon credit.

My first DSLR (XSi) is finally getting an upgrade. Tech-wise it's showing it's age, but it still takes beautiful pictures. I'm really excited to use the 18-135 STM.

Too bad that in CA, that wouldn't make up for the 8.75% sales tax! B&H is definitely the better deal for CA residents.

Went with Amazon regardless that I had to pay the tax (I live in WA). It just seems to make more sense to have the no hassle return policy and Amazon really backs up just about everything they sell. I guess you could say I paid for that extra peace of mind

I got the Adorama deal on T3i with 18-55+55-250+Adobe element 10+Canon DSLR bag fro $610. I'm wondering if I should sell those and get this deal? How often do you guys use 55-250 lens? Is 18-135 a good walkaround lens?

It really depends on what things you tend to photograph. This past year I used my 55-250mm lens extensively on a cruise to Alaska, photographing wildlife from a cruise ship as well as during a land tour to Denali. Even with that lens, the bears look TINY! If you tend to take indoor photos, pictures of buildings, and other things that require wide angle more than telephoto, then you'd be better off with the 18-55mm lens. The 18-135mm is a good walkaround lens; I've been planning to buy it and I'm trying to decide whether to jump on this deal and sell my Rebel T3i or just buy the lens by itself which costs half as much.

i have the t3i, still went ahead with this deal.....and amazon doesn't charge tax in NJ, so this is a great deal! i also paid with my amazon card, so 5+2% back will be sweet, i also plan to use the 12months interest free financing on anything over $599 from amazon

Now i need a plan to sell my t3i bundle lol
