Any one knows how this compares to the nikon bundle deal and which one is better to get? A noob here when it comes to cameras and planning to learn about photography and to take better pictures of my 2 year old. Currently have a canon powershot elph 500 hs digital camera that I wanted to replace.

Just one thing to add - B&H service rocks.I had a very nice experience with them and no tax (not sure about NY though).

Another great feature of T4i which most of the website overlook is taking a picture just by touching the screen. This feature is extremely useful when you give your camera to a 3rd person who has no idea how to use a dslr and all that person has to do it look at the screen and touch anyone's face and then it will just focus and take a picture automatically just like an iphone. This feature has already saved me lots to hassle to teach people to look through viewfinder and then to find the shutter button which is somehow impossible to find for people new to DSLR.

I also use it for moon shots. Since it keeps moving in the sky you don't have to keep adjusting the focus point through the view finder, just tap the center of the moon, it focuses and takes the shot.
