As an ex- Geek Squad employee, here's how you go about price matching to this. They WILL PRICE MATCH AMAZON NO MATTER WHAT DUE TO THEIR NEW POLICY.
Walk up to register with Borderlands 2 saying you want to price match Amazon for $40.
Continue with purchase, will tell you the total. Say, oh, I have a $30 coupon for this that I almost completely forgot about (laugh or something).
A or B.
A. They will apply the coupon toward the price match, leaving you with $10 + tax for BL2, walk out happy with a grin.
OR....
B. They will say, "I'm not sure if we can do this"
This is the time you look a little confused and frustrated. It's most important to NOT BE AGGRESSIVE.
Ask kindly, but firmly for a manager. They will either call or grab a manager.
Do not complain about the representative. They're only doing their job on concerning great deals.
Tell the manager you're wanting to price match with Amazon as stated in their new price matching policy, and that you received a $30 off coupon for Borderlands 2 through myrz.com
Manager will most likely approve of it really quickly and storm off like he's doing something important.

I tried it at my local best buy and was let down. They assured me that I could only use one offer or the other, no combining them. I think I'll wait till it drops below $30 elsewhere and grab it.

You should've told them thats BS. Price Match Guarantee isn't an "offer" It's a price match that they MUST FOLLOW as stated in their new guidelines. You then would apply the "offer".
I would try it one more time and if it doesn't work, tell them you're going to complain for not complying with their offer and price match guarantee.

I wasn't surprised they turned me down. They only had one register open and a line was building behind me. It didn't feel right lol. I may have my wife try it, she offered to do it after I was turned away lol. I'm from upstate NY by the way.

I got turned down at two separate stores saying exactly what Uber said above. No luck, even when I contacted customer service and told them I was a silver member..

same thing with me. no luck. ): tried to get the pricematch first, and then presented the coupon. she tried to scan the coupon, but the system said "duplicate data found" which was interpreted as a second offer, discount, adjustment, etc.

no biggie, still used the $5 cert from a couple weeks ago and had about $5 left on a rebate card, so it only cost me $22, which is still a pretty good price. and hopefully i'll get the 500 points from the fb/reward zone offer.

of course, now i have about 5 games to start and finish before getting to this one (and i still need to get the first borderlands).....
