I went in, availed of the offer. Thanks to the OP and EMB for the find and the PDF.

They are great filters, but I only have one problem. How do I make this an even slicker deal, with some good oil deals. I posted a deal with the Mobil 5K at walmart + this filter, but Compared to that combo, and the one currently offered by Pepboys Im saving say $2 dollars max.

#cantwaitforsomeawesomeoildeals

or else i might return these two filters and wait for DIY special

Unfortunately:

1) I have a motor that has been run 84K on conventional and if I switch to Synth, there may be a possibility of oil leakage or burning (BITOG member).

2) The warranty works only with VINs i believe that are below 75k or less than 72 months. Im not too comfortable with the VIN thing but also im beyond the coverage.

Worked great! Time to stock up on more oil filters

The 75K limit does not pertain to the rebate. That is a different program Quaker state is running. The rebate doesn't only apply to synthetic oils, you can get a rebate for $10-$15 back for conventional oils or blends as well. As for the VIN's, some SD'ers have suggested looking at VIN's from ebay or cars.com. There is no way to verify. Hope that helps.

May be worth checking your local Walmart. I thought the $15.99 for 5 quarts Mobil was a good deal, but upon checking my Walmart saw they have this same 5 qts for $12.95 REGULAR PRICE. If you don't have use for the Purolator classic filter may as well buy just the oil
