Thread Details

Got a 40% coupon to the Cisco Linkys store from the "famous auction site" (Search for "151006198765" on the "aution site") for $4.98 and then used that to purchase EA6500 N900 router.

Looks like it will work on other routers as well

Brand New EA6500 for $199.99-$80 = $119.99 + tax + FS
Refurb EA4500 for $99.99 - $40 = $59.99 + tax + FS
Refurb EA3500 for $69.99 - $28 = $41.99 + tax + FS

Where is your facts on Linksys cancelled all the outstanding 40% coupons?

The code I provided could be the same as the one was sold on ebay, and plus if it is SINGLE use like you said... it would of not worked for some others (while the couple was still good).. it would probably show up as coupon not vailid.

I simply did some googling, found the code and shared on here, and now you're bashing me Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
Well, to be fair, you are the one bashing me first.

How do I know they are one time use coupons? How about this? I have three unused unique 40% off code and they are all showing expired today. None these three codes are the one you are sharing in this forum.

Also what about recountryman, who bought a coupon (probably from ebay), only found out it showed as expired before using it.

I don't know the codes being sold on ebay. Those ones I have, show "Important: Coupon codes are good for one time use only." It is Linksys' mistake to allow reuse of those. However, even you don't know if the code is one time use only, you should know that coupons shared on forum such as this one are most likely to be abused.

If I found the code by just simply googling it, someone else bound to find it too and share it.
in this case, they might of indeed pulled the plug on the coupons... ahhh well, not the end of world
if you got to use it woot, if not oh well sorry Frown ..... til next time

Think about what your saying. This whole deal was originally based on buying a code off ebay to get a lower price on a router. It's possible that the seller on ebay owned the code or it's possible s/he just found it on the internet and was selling it. If you follow your logic, then this whole deal should not have been posted in the first place.. heck most of the deals on slickdeals should not be posted. Quite a lot of them were targeted deals that got out into the wild.

You are missing the whole point. These codes are meant for Cisco EPP members, not given away or sold. Just because they show up on SD doesn't make them legit.

Just received EA4500 this evening. Tried to turn it on and all the link lights are DEAD.
Talked to Cisco Support and they had me reset the router but didn't help. Changed the power outlet and it came up. Tried to reboot again and back to dead.....
Sending the unit back for replacement. After spending shipping I hope to get a good working router.

I believe thats what happens in SD all the time. Somebody receives a coupon in an email received or found on internet which is shared. If someone paid for the coupon, go ask the seller. If they got it for free, stop crying and move on. Same goes for price error deals, as well. Isn't that same like promoting and exploiting someone's mistake?
