Onkyo HT-RC330 AV Receiver (Refurbished) - $128.17
I needed a cheap low end receiver and decided to try this one [accessories4less.com]. I thought it will be a very basic one and was also concerned it may not have enough power since each channel has only 60w.
But I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality and the fact that it has standby pass through which many others at twice the price don't.
The unit looks as good as new with not even a scratch on it. I have paired it with an Apple TV and now have all the network capabilities (Airplay, Pandora etc.) of much more expensive models. Plus I can search for Youtube, Netflix and iTunes videos from the convenience of my iPad and stream them. Playing games with Airplay mirroring is not that great since the image appears at 4:3 on my HDTV. Wish Apple supports 16:9 display. Streamed videos, though, scale to 16:9.
But I can't deny that this Denon 1912 [accessories4less.com] for $300 shipped looks very tempting as well, given the reputation of its sound quality.
