Murphy shows up and always when uninvited. The safety is hard to accidentally switch on or off. In stress, it will also be hard to switch it on or off. I've trained with it and other guns with safeties. Fun guns? Yes. Plinkers? Yes. Hunting? Sure. Serious tools? Not for me.

Try placing the safety on, carry it the way your normally do, draw from your carry position, and see how long it takes your to switch the safety off and fire.

You have the right to carry however you want, but there are many ways that are better or ways that work better for me.

Just keep carrying, regardless of how you do.

When a weapon is concealed, carrying safety-off seems unduly risky since the amount of time to draw from a location you aren't printing from is already too long to play quick draw cowboy. If you live in an open carry state, safety off would probably be less dangerous for the carrier, but it would then pose liability issues if your gun were to be taken off your hip.

I prefer open carry for a number of reasons, but you definitely have to consider liability and carriers are the first targets when things go south. Not that I really mind that either, but some people are chicken shit cowards who get off nobody knowing they're carrying...

Glocks and almost every S&W M&P are "no safety" firearms that are often carried concealed without liability or any issue of the safety being off because there is no safety on these guns.Almost every negligent discharge is because someone who is dumb can't stop touching Roscoe and accidentally pulls the trigger. The safety is the one between your ears. Don't coonfinger the gun and it won't go bang. Follow the four rules.

I love in a state where I am able to open carry and carry concealed. I open carry more than concealed but when I do conceal, I don't think everyone has caught me printing. A good belt and a good holster go a long way.

Heck, even when I open carry, I don't think most people notice because people are just generally oblivious to their surroundings.

A couple hundred rounds of 124gr with a couple FTE's. Acceptable. I just ordered a boat load of 115gr from Freedom Munitions and will put it through the paces.

My points were related to the incresed draw time from concealed carry effectively negating the gains in firing speed from carrying safety off. Where I live, there's a bunch of young dumbasses rushing out to get CHLs, and these kids fancy themselves cowboys. Those are the idiots who wind up shooting themselves in the damn leg --but, then again, there's no requirement in TX that CHL holders posses common sense.

The issues of liability still exist in most states. If a carrier loses control of his gun or shoots the wrong guy --you get sued. In TX there is a movement to remove the liability --but once again it's just frigging wannabe cowboys. Those who can't keep their heads when shit goes down --or can't aim effectIvely under pressure shouldn't be carrying IMHO.

As for most people being oblivious --thats about as true a statement as any man has ever made.

Just picked up 500 rounds of blazer 9mm 124gr to break in the Nano if I receive one FTE after break in it is going back to Beretta.

I was about to pick up the same online..and 10 packs of 50 counts sold out as i was checking out.....me think me knows where they went.

Wasn't me I bought mine at local gun store.
