Gun Beretta Nano 9mm $369 shipped

Anyone have any info on ordering a backorder gun from them? They have a Saiga IZ-109 that I've been trying to find without some crazy price tag. BNIB one's are going for $1100+ here for some reason.

Thought this would be a good first gun but it's now sold out.

The Shield is the most overrated pistol I've ever seen. It has a thumb safety for a gun this size (which is stupid on any pistol, but doubly stupid for one this size), It became popular before it became proven (this is a bad sign of fanboyism) and I just don't get it. I have three other M&Ps, none of them Shields.

If they made a Shield without a thumb safety, I'd pick one up.

Also as a PSA, always practice with the gun you carry before you carry it. I see too many people carry guns they've never even shot. It makes my head hurt.

Thumb safeties are a preference, you can't knock other guys for wanting a gun with one (you can always leave in off).

I think they are a preference issue except on specific pocket style pistols. They should never be included. The safety is very hard for me to flip off. The one time I'd need it is the time that I would accidentally have it on and then I'd be dead. This goes behind preference and into the world of practice and bordering on design flaw.

Kahrs typically don't have safeties (some do to be state compliant).
Not on pocket Keltecs, Rugers, Taurus, nor on the Nano and for good reason.

The safety on the Shield is hard to accidentally switch on. You'd have to consciously put it into an on position.

Bought one ! I will get a glock 26 when they catch up on orders.
I could not pass on this price local shops selling them at 450.

Then why require registration to extend the warranty? Seems to me if they had full faith in the redesign of the extractor there would be no need to require registration.

I'm not opposed to registering guns (all of my guns are registered with my insurance company because, like my cars, I want them back if some asshat steals them.) What I am opposed to is registration with anyone who wants to sell me things. I hate spam and junk mail...

They probably wouldn't have even let you take care of your sidearm properly. Just dumb IMHO. It's a ceremonial piece more than anything, thing is --the one time you need it is when some other guy isn't using a ceremonial firearm.

Wouldn't an extended mag unbalance a small 9mm like this?

Nope, it actually fits better in the hand with the extended mag. Gives the pinky finger a place.
