Probably the touchscreen on 520 and 320. Reviews say they're too slow/clunky and get in the way, plus you end up with smudges on your viewing screen, and you've got to look at the screen to see the controls.

If you're looking at $150 cameras:
I did go w/ a 110 HS for a relative with $200 total budget. $155-ish shipped, leaving room for big 32gb SD, a case and screen protector, HDMI cable, and 2 spare third party batteries for a coming vacation. The $140 for the 110 HS is about the regular online price, but the vacation date's coming up and it's still a nice camera.

I also considered the a4000, 510 hs, 300 hs in the price range, didn't bother with other brands from my consistently good Canon experience. A4000's $50 cheaper but video wasn't as smooth or high res, and screen also not as nice (but otherwise goes toe-to-toe w/ the 110 hs *and* adds better zoom and pixel peeps sharper detail), 510 hs uses microsd that's easier to misplace, and 300 hs is hard to find < $170 (but was at $100-110 in last days of clearance).

BTW, I was looking for a good default-settings and full-auto that handled restaurant/indoor- lit group shots with good travel zoom for someone with $150 budget for their only camera (not even smartphone). The pretty good video recording and hdmi-out on the 110 hs were bonuses, and the 110 hs has a pretty wide wide zoom to squeeze in the extra 2-3 people from the typical 7-8' distance in a room, restaurant, or event.

The 110's a bit too aggressive at noise reduction processing in lower light, so there's a bit of splotchiness that loses sharp detail, but it's still very good for an $150 ultracompact for a non-techie casual user.

Dunno if the 100 HS is still being sold by BB, but the 110 HS should be. Still worth trying the 100 HS though, since DIGIC 4 on the 100 I think is less aggressive at noise reduction than the DIGIC 5 on the 110.
