Saving 10 bucks for overpriced and poor quality seafood is not a deal. Good for people that love Red Lobster or don't have a better seafood option. Before anyone mentions those biscuits, guess what, you can make them at home too.
tl;dr - a cry for attention

I know this is sort of anti-Slickdeals proper manners - but I have to agree.

Places like Olive Garden, Applebees, and Reb Lobster - just gross. And I mean GROSS. And I LIKE eating crappy fast food and what not.

Blows my mind that people will go to Red Lobster and spend $30 bucks a person! Crazy.
Even w/ the savings...I don't see how anyone could consider this a good deal. I guess if someone gave you a gift card and you MUST use it this is helpful.

Did have fun in college getting the all you can eat shrimp a few times - but that was a pretty frustrating experience too for mediocre shrimp. I think we enjoyed the idea more than the practice.

You must also go to Applebee's for their delicious steaks.
trolltastic. i've been to applebee's before, and you and I both know that their pricing is accurate for the food you get. you're not going to get cheaper steaks... i guess you laugh at all the toyotas and hondas you drive by in your rolls.... they're so stupid because they should have just spent a little more for a real car Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I honestly don't know how anyone can actually choose to eat at Red Lobster. I have eaten at once once in my life and it was not by choice, but where a client wanted to go, never again. Cheap, crappy, previously frozen, not fresh seafood. Greasy, gloppy, overbearing sauces. A McDonalds filet-o-fish or a box of frozen fish sticks is on par with Red Lobster. You are better off going to a local fish monger or even a whole foods and making seafood at home.

Or you could of course just go here for dinner http://le-bernardin.com/
"Prix-Fixe $127"

The two for $254 deal.

Pictures show incredibly small portions too. Also considering the price is low compared to higher end places, That place is also trash compared to them.

That's funny, because I honestly don't know how anyone can actually choose to eat at Le Bernardin. Endless shrimp disappointed you back in college, so you've vowed to troll Red Lobster deals forevermore while simultaneously replying to yourself?

Endless shrimp isn't a good representation of the entire menu. Did you expect all you could eat 16 ct prawns from $12?

Honestly, the food isn't that bad for the cost. Some of the lobsterfest entrees are actually pretty good - like the lobster bake and stuffed tilapia.

No...I was actually saying that I have fond memories of the endless shrimp.

My family used to go there every now and again growing up, as it was my little brother's favorite restaurant. I am honestly looking at it from a Slickdeals perspective - price against quality/quantity/taste. Go to Yelp, find a local seafood restaurant with great reviews w/ similar prices to Red Lobster and go there instead. Unless you are in a really small town with very few restaurants I can't imagine that Red Lobster is a good value even if you do think it "isn't that bad." I don't want to spend my money on something that "isn't that bad." Oh - and I have been recently too, my cousin worked there for a few years and the family wanted to be supportive.

The world has come to a pretty dark place when people are defending the quality of food at Red Lobster.

Just having fun anyway - I am really, really into food so I find threads where people sing praises of crappy chains amusing.

I think some of the feedback given here about redlobster is just absurd, a lot of crtisism but none of it was constructive, gives me an idea most never even tried RL, same with Olive Garden or Applebee's, and for the money I think they all serve decent dishes.
