You can give a man a fish, and he'll be fed for a day, but if you beat him, unmerciful, with that same fish -- he'll leave you alone forever.

Do the PS3 glasses work with only the PS3 or can you use them with other 3-d programming on your mitsubishi??? |
|
|
The 3D PS3 glasses work fine with any 3D content on this mitsu....
have a pair of the Dimensional Optic 3D glasses with the emitter and a pair of the PS3 glasses..... both pairs work great, no noticeable difference whatsoever... except the PS3 glasses were only $17.99ea.. |

I ended up getting the 82" when it came down to $1399 for a few days before Xmas at Tiger Direct instead of the 73"....... had purchased the 65" in 2008 to replace my 53" Pioneer Elite and loved it, got another 65" Mitsu in 2011 and never had any problems with any of the DLP's... only had to replace a bulb once for $75 in 5 years... with my theatre setup no one could tell it was a DLP when sitting on couch or watching movies... the depth of TV wasn't visible.... every Tv was professionally calibrated and I can say only 1 other TV I have owned... a 50" plasma has a better picture... mainly due to deeper blacks... other than that I wouldn't switch out the DLP for anything considering the price range per inch.... but to each their own based on personal preferences and available setup scenerio.... It looks like the 73642 is the only one they have left in stock now - $799..... http://www.tigerdirect.com/applic...CatId=5193 I doubt prices will ever go any lower based on the increasing scarcity of Mitsu TV's now... I've been lurking for months to try and find a firesale on any 92" with no luck... Last edited by eddiechi; 03-04-2013 at 04:35 PM.. |

I picked up the 70" version of this set a few years ago (thanks to Slickdeals) and it is a great tv. I built it into the wall of our media room so it is flush with the wall and trimmed with molding.
My son plays his xbox360 (via HDMI) and is looks great. I have Directv, OTA, Roku (thanks SD), blue ray and HTPC and they all look great. I haven't noticed the slightest imperfection or any dimming (after years of constant use). I have had a 50" Samsung DLP in our family room (integrated into a wall of built-in cabinetry) for at least 5 years and it has performed extremely well under great duress. With three young kids, that tv has been on an ungodly amount of time (just thinking about it makes me think that I am a bad parent) and I just replaced the bulb for the first time about a month ago. Good as new. I also have a couple flat screen LCDs (Sony, Philips, etc. 40-50") that I use as computer monitors/TVs in the kitchen and library. The Mitsubishi is as good or better than any of them. Plus, it is huge. The only downside is having hooked up the xbox to it, I have limited access to it. When the 80" is on fire sale, I might not be able to help myself. |

You can avoid the shipping charge for any TigerDirect purchase by joining their Inner Circle for $29 for just six months. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applic...No=6435857
I ordered this item. If you want a new 92" Mitsu DLP they go for $1800 http://www.bestcompsolution.com/m...ma-tv.html I paid for it with my new Amex Gold Card, so I should get my 50,000 points pretty soon. Amex doubles the warranty even on refurb items. Last edited by mitchflorida; 03-05-2013 at 04:01 PM.. |
