Lack of wireless and typical storage options is kind of a bummer, but that thing is pretty neat otherwise.

A good price for an i3 barebones, but I would heartily recommend this Shuttle unit [newegg.com] and this Celeron chip [newegg.com] for slightly less money.
Yes, the i3 has some goodies, but for what these will generally be used for the G1610 is going to be neck in neck performance wise. The Shuttle has dual nics, a serial port, and standard 2.5" slots and SATA connections. I have 20 deployed in my company and they are ROCK SOLID. Again, not taking away from this deal, but for somebody looking for a more modular machine, the Shuttle can't be beat. |

I bought this for $189 [newegg.com] and I paired it with a G1610 from MC ($40) and some RAM and SSD for my office. Already have bulk licenses. This thing takes 31 watts at full power (under Prime95).

I love my NUC, and I'm running it in my car at the moment, but please be aware there's no analog audio out. It's only over HDMI. I had to buy a USB sound card as I didn't have a digital Audio in option when interfacing with my analog amp...

Repped, good deal for a very neat little box. I will likely pick one of these up when it gets a Haswell revision.

You also need a power cord, I believe. Great tiny system for hackintoshing, but it is very barebones.

I built one of these for a HTPC & it's amazing. Won't hear a bleep, runs anything you can throw it, 1080p, 3D, etc & just looks very nice & simple on a entertainment center.
Mine boots Win 8 in about 6 seconds. Good price for this little beast. |

We have deployed about 30 of these and two have ended up with bad motherboards after minimal use. Otherwise they have been great PCs. The issue was that after a couple days use it would restart and say no boot drive found then then try to pxe boot off the network. If you disable pxe boot and restart it will work again but for only a day or so to repeat same error.
