How expensive was it that you are excited about a $3 difference? Did you go to an actual UPS? You do know that UPS has automatic insurance on every package they ship, right?

I ship packages for my small online business...A $3 difference x 500 packages/yr adds up fast.

People will laugh at $3 bucks, but its a differences like your example if you ship a lot it adds up in the long run.

It was atleast 3 bucks could of been close to 4 bucks either way I saved up a bit. I did state I encounter rude customer services from the UPS worker itself so I did indeed go to a physical UPS location (was on my way to go home from work so it worked well so I decided to give it a try). I know that UPS automatically covers insurance up to $100. I don't have a problem with USPS quality and service has been good to me like I said each person has personal experiences.

Perhaps. Usually that is a cost that is passed on to the customer. I would think that at least a portion of that difference would get eaten up by insurance that UPS already includes in their regular price.

4 of my 5 returns that I have to file this year are going snail mail Whee

(federal e-file + 1 state that i didn't live in but earned revenue from + 1 state i was a part year resident in + 1 state i was a part year resident in but that forces PY residents to complete BOTH the resident AND non-resident returns. none of the 4 state returns allow e-filing for someone in my position and i'm not paying someone for the privilege Nono

)
