Finally got these. 2x6ct Chocolate Deluxe, 2x6ct Chocolate Peanut Butter.

2012 deal:

2x 12pk 2.75oz bars Smores - $19.92 = $0.30 per oz.

This 2013 deal:

2x 6pk 1.76oz bars - $9.40 = $0.445 per oz.

Looking at it another way, let's compare price per gram of protein:

2012 deal - 30g protein per 2.75oz bar, 24 bars for $19.92 = $0.0277/g protein
2013 deal - 20g protein per 1.76oz bar, 12 bars for $9.40 = $0.0392/g protein

That's an increase in price of nearly 50% year on year by total weight and per gram of protein. Hardly justified by the economy, but such is life. I needed some protein bars for snacks.

Btw, the Chocolate Deluxe is not NEARLY as tasty as the PB Chocolate! The S'mores bars are pretty terrible, by contrast.

lol at people talking about taste, its a supplement. you eat it for the nutrition, particularly the protein. for the price, these are great. not to mention they're not loaded with carbs like some brands are (sugar alcohol does not count towards net carbs).

anyone that is serious about working out and building muscle knows that these are great for their price.

Yeah why not boil/bake some beef with tapioca and some sweetener? That would be better, atleast not animal internals and what not

The pure protein bars mislead you to believe its whey. They mention that right on top in bold.but surprisingly the fine print has hydrolyzed collagen as the first ingredient.
I was the one who got burned. Had bought a couple of packs from Sams, went through half of it without realizing they were meat the weird after taste of liver bought them down, later their customer service admitted they were BEEF.obviously I'm a vegetarian
