Other than new UI and a faster HW, I don't see anything else different from XS. They say that the new UI will be pushed to older models thru an update. Is there any other benefit with Roku 3?

One big difference is no support for analog sets.

Since this is A Roku thread, I thinks it's as good A place as any to ask this...Anybody know of A free Roku channel/app that will allow me to stream my audio files from Google/Play?

I found one...only drawback is its limited to 5000 songs or it may be unstable.

I uploaded A whole harddrive of music files I downloaded over the years to Google/Play last month but had no way of playing them on my home stereo system. The app is A little clunky but gets the job done. I like free!!!

Go see this page http://www.thenowhereman.com/roku/ This guy has created NowhereTV private channel AND a new one that will work with your google music folder. It was a bit slow the last time I used it. Recently I began using Couchy with my dropbox music and it works really well. The article here http://thecreativealternative.com...-to-cable/ lists many channel options out there and not just the standard ones. And for those interested, it lists some of the important features of the Roku 3 such as the remote with headphone jack. This is one feature I would like to upgrade for. I added it to my cart on Amazon to track pricing day-day in the hopes it will drop $10 or so.

go to jr.com add roku 3, find something cheap like this [jr.com] (cheapest thing I could find so far at least) and enter promo code madness. $90.49 shipped... or you could ad something you actually need to get it over the $100 threshold
