I think it's just an issue with being at work and the website being partially blocked here as I was going through the V.me link and had an account and everything but the browser didn't seem to redirect to the V.me checkout properly. Thanks though, I'll try it again when I get home tonight

If that were the case the current subscription SHOULD convert into whatever their Plus-type thing would be. There is no way (at least I want to believe this) that Microsoft could simply tell you that the additional months of Live that you paid for would basically be forfeit with nothing to show for it.
