Playstation Plus ONLY: March Free Games

Joe Danger 2: The Movie (PS3) is free now on PS+.

Glad I checked this thread today. I almost bought The Cave on some other sale the other day. PS+ is great. I don't have as much time as I like to play PS3 game but I figure with my extended membership, I'm set for games through at least the 1st year of the big PS4 release. Also if I get a Vita I'm good there too.

I play my Vita every day; plus, its faster as an internet device than my Android tabs - the Facebook, Youtube, and Netflix apps are slick and fast. If only it had Vudu or Amazon Instant Video.

What if I use the one month trial to get the free games, go back to free member, then later become PSN+ member? Can I download the free games that I got from the trial period again?

Again, it's personal taste. I have both the 3DS XL and the Vita. I find myself playing the 3DS more because of games like Mario Kart, Mario, Fire Emblem, etc. I had NFS Most Wanted on the Vita, but even with it's higher resolution it was still difficult to see oncoming traffic and other obstacles. I mainly use my Vita for playing classic Final Fantasy and other PSP games as well as the PS Plus content that has been coming out. I love the Vita display especially watching Netflix, the OLED picture is a beautiful thing. The menus are simplistic and the email program is pointless unless you enjoy viewing text based emails (html not supported). As for the cost of games they are the same. You can find them new at $40 or used for less, no difference there. The 3DS has been out longer and has a larger base of games, the Vita has fewer but has a decent collection of PS One and PSP titles available for purchase from the PSN.

Ultimately hardware specs don't matter at all, it really comes down to the games. An original 3DS can be purchased used for around $100 and a used Vita around the same price, so if you can afford them both you'll have a lot of options. Be aware that the Vita does not have any internal memory and requires expensive proprietary memory unless you find it on sale.
