Think of it as a tablet with some laptop capabilities. It's really a great price for all it can do. I purchased the Samsung Ativ Smart PC 500 with the same processor and really enjoy it. I paid more than this and didn't get the keyboard! Samsung does have the digitizer which is nice.
The list of things you can trade in and how much you would get is here: https://tradeuptotouch.com/tablet...g-tradeins
For the most part unless you're trading in an Apple product or and i5 - you're only gonna get $100 to $150 back.
Typing from an X2 right now... Great little computer if you don't do much more than word processing, web surfing, and basic internet things. Battery life is a great plus over more powerful processors. If you have NFC on your phone, that is a weird little plus that most others don't have. There is a pen (in development sorta) but there is still no sign of it on HP's website.
I wish I could trade in and get $100 for just an old computer and not have to buy a new computer right away from Staples. I have an old Pentium 4 laptop (Toshiba) with 512mb ram and 60gb harddrive. The thing is a BEAST (size wise) since it has a full Pentium 4 processor at like 3ghz.
I've got a 2.5 year old Vaio laptop with an i5 in it. (First gen.) Works fine, but it kind of seems like $300 without the fuss of Fleabay or Craigslist to sell it might actually be a pretty decent deal. Anyone agree/disagree?
For perspective, Best Buy's trade in evaluator offers $86 for the computer. Gazelle is $91.
will they take an 10 yr old laptop with a broken screen for trade in for $100?? Seems so, does anyone know?
Here are the terms and conditions :
For your trade in device to qualify for the full amount, it must be fully operational, include the main battery and power supply, must not be permanently marked or defaced, it must be complete and undamaged (reasonable wear & tear accepted).
