Free Hazelnut Macchiato at Starbucks

just had chance to try, but wasn't surprised that i got straight no and they showed actual memo about "fake" coupon. I said fine, here's my 50% coupon from my registered card, right on my phone app and guy was rude and said it won't work, tried in front another barista and it didn't work.
Then I just called 800 #, complained about rudeness and that coupon didn't work. she took note, said try in another store and got my 50% back onto my card.

Just checked my account (green member) and there is a reward on 3/20/13 with the following info:

SPRING FREE TALL MACCHIATO - Use Code 998
(Earned - 3/20/2013)
(Status - Available)
(Expiration - 3/26/2013)

The code is accepted in most places, but no surprise it isn't accepted in a mall.

The title is misleading. You can also use it for a caramel macchiato. Lol. I did yesterday bc it showed up on my card in the Starbucks app.

I looked today and it still on my account. You can do this more than once? Multiple times a day maybe? Lol. I will try later . If it doesn't work multiple times I still have a 50% code off an expresso.

The free tall macchiato on the app has a different code than the offer on this thread with code 350.

I used the printout from Coupons.com and it was accepted no problem. The guy even said, "cool" and handed the coupon back.

I was at star bucks the other day and a lady ordered one of these, I then said to the cashier I thought they were giving them away for free and then he gave us both the coupon to use next time

Nice. But when I went to and searched "Starbucks" on coupons.com I didn't see the coupon.

Does the coupon have the barcode? If so, could you please post link or printout of coupon for us?

I've been complaining to Starbucks for quite some time about just forcing these franchise stores to post something stating that they ARE a franchise and not a corporate store.

Back in the good old days when I got free syrup and soy these stores wouldn't honor it and you wouldn't realize it until you waited in line to order and just the rejection statement.

Not honoring the freebie is fine, but not being told until I waste 10 mins of my time is something else.

FYI: I've also found franchise Starbucks elsewhere besides target, grocery, and airports... even when they appear to be stand-alone corporate stores.
