I suggest going to a store like Williams Sonoma, where they have a lot of brands and lines from each brand. Try holding some and see which knives have the most comfortable handles, bolsters, and weight to you. Also consider your cooking style. A lot of American's ae not used to the Japanese blades which are sharper and thinner. Then come back here and find a deal on them. Feel free to ask me any additional questions that you may have.
