Just ignore the troll. Decent system. Will enable you to play light gaming and provide video acceleration for your internet videos. I was able to get an 5800k for 100 at ncix via their referrals programand a a 75board for 60ish. Idle if the locked cpu cares about memory speeds but might be worth it to buy your own ram if you game. I know it helped the 5800k in gaming benches.

I'm in the market for a computer. I've built plenty, but am going to get a Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc this time. A main concern of mine is how quiet it is. Can anyone here speak to the general level of fan/disk noise in these consumer grade boxes? I have a Dell Optiplex 980 next to me at work that is very quiet, so any comparisons to that machine would be great.
Also, about how frequently can I expect to see a really great Slickdeal on a low to mid range desktop? Once a month? Every two months? I'm not in a huge hurry to make this purchase. |

no need to rep, just would like to contribute info. |

This deal seems to have hit the cord with all those who stayed away from the Lenovo deal: It has the right mix of graphics, connectivity (USB 3.0 and Wi-Fi) and sufficient processing power. It is a great box in terms of "set it and forget it" for an average, non-builder/non-tinkerer user.
I will put this into the Wiki.

Well alright... then get a good video card if you are going to put one in there for anyone who is wondering ![]() At least the equivalent of what is on the APU itself. |

How does this compare against http://www.staples.com/HP-Pavilio...ze=certona ?
Is it worth $80 more? |
