How's this police radar thing work? Can they tell the speed of individual cars that are close together? |

Yes, laser can be honed in like a gun scope on a specific target. It can only be used when the officer is parked however, which it sounds like he was.
Edit: heres a picture you can see the scope that they can target right on any object. Last edited by PiratePenguin; 03-05-2013 at 11:13 AM.. |

And add to that laser detectors are basically useless. The system is pinpoint accurate so by the time you're alerted, you're already tagged.

First off, a cop shouldn't/doesn't use a radar gun to pick the faster speeder or speeder.. He uses his common sense to see who's speeding, then once he sees someone going faster than they should he uses lidar most likely, there's a dot in optic shows you the speed of target but if Their close together it shows the fastest moving target
So if you and another guy were close but you flying up on him, it will hone on your speed. Yep yep. Uses tons of angles of reflections toget your speed not just one. Most accurate on front of vehicle but can be done from angles. Not sideways, because its not moving closer or farther from you to send:receive the signals. I'm lidar certified so yeah. I've had to explain it in court and its easier in words than typing. I'm on iPhone and hurrying explanation. Moving lidar does same thing (use it incars while moving) show your speed and there's and does algorithm to do the math to pin point the speed. Can't fight them honestly if your pegged and you fight it and cop shows up and he is certified and machines current on annual calibration by state your ticket is almost surely yours unless you have a forgiving judge and possibly first time |

The constitutions of most of our States and of the United States assert, that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves, in all cases to which they think themselves competent, or they may act by representatives, freely and equally chosen; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property, and freedom of the press. -Thomas Jefferson, June 5, 1824

The truth: Management at IRS can blame themselves and how they have chaotic and poor management, but God-forbid you, or I, or anybody else in America gets audited and doesn't have their ducks in order and s***-together, your ass is going to court or jail.
Shout out to Congressman Mike Kelly for stating it as it is... Link [realclearpolitics.com] |
