i've used the AT-M50, Crossfade LP2, and these Klipsch Ref One among other cans.

IMHO each have distinct sound signatures and it's up to the user to determine which sounds best/fit best

M50's are least portable of the bunch (bulky, long coiled cord, BUT folds flat which is great for backpacks) - sounds most crisp, most accurate sound replication (tight, punchy bass, decent mids, etc.). probably the best from a pure audiophile perspective.

Klipsch - better for folks with smaller ears/head. they have a very nice, rich sound (nice highs)

Personally, I really really like the crossfade LP2 best- fits over my ears, great aesthetics, is super durable, has great bass, awesome sound stage etc. better depth of sound.. if that makes sense. i also like that the cable is removable for the v-moda which isn't the case for klipsch or m50.

i've read that the LP2 isn't a groundbreaking improvement over the LP, but i haven't listened to the LP so i can't say for sure. i also use a Fiio E17, which makes a big difference for the LP2- not as much with the klipsch or M50.
