use it in the ruger 10/22 all the time- NOT at "very close" range. it is not worthless, it has its place. it is not for plinking or target shooting, and anyone that tries it for such needs help. If the lunch meat called spam became the catchword for a depersonalized email message, then social networking should be known as soylent green!

The reason I say it's worthless is that they make .38 and .44 shells with birdshot which are significantly more effective...though still not effective as a shotgun with birdshot. It's an extreme specialty round. |

You obviously never buy this either or you would know better. But yeah, gas was $.89 so it is hilarious if you are paying more than that.

Wish I could thumbs down more than once since the email alert woke me up. Birdshot has VERY limited use and the price ruins it.

Yes prices finally going down but $10.99 is insane for 50 rounds of .22lr I got 200 rounds for $20 bucks at Bass Pro shops locally in Miami
Prices are intact going down. Just got. Brand new Glock 17 Gen 4 9mm in FDE color. Final price $525 including FFL fee. Already turned down a $700'offer to buy it. |

I haven't bought 22 ammo since last summer, when Dunhams was selling CCI Blazer 525 packs for $15. We may never see that again.
22LR is the poor man's arsenal stash, and until the mania subsides, it will be overpriced. Still looking in western WV for local Wallyworld 22LR and not finding it, I suspect that insiders are buying all of it. |
