Thank, OP. I got one for the new house. It will replace the "dumb" thermostat while I wait for the smart and wireless thermostats to go down in price. If it wasn't for the price I'd be all over a couple of nests.

These cheapies usually don't come with C-wire power, and I wouldn't have a thermostat without it. My first digital thermostat didn't have C-wire power, meaning it is powered off the batteries only. It ate batteries quite badly and without warning it ran out of power while away on a 5 day trip over christmas, leaving the house nice and frozen.
This is a Honeywell and likely will last a lot longer on a set of batteries as well as give you some decent warning before they need to be replaced, but of course I thought that of the one I had also. C-wire powered is really the way to go, with batteries used only as memory backup. I'm an outdoor adventurer, science geek, classical guitarist, programmer, photographer, audiophile, and car nut, so I try to help the SD community by posting useful information in those areas.

Great deal if we needed one -- not a huge money maker if trying to resell. But awesome deal altogether
 They have them at one of my somewhat local stores. |

oos at my closest kmart. Man the site is so broken, cant check more than one store at a time. I put a range of 300 miles and only one store pops up :\

I'm not sure what

I have water heat (not steam). Will this work for that? Also what is heat pump systems with back-up heat, multi-stage heating/cooling systems or electric baseboard heat (120-240V)? TIA  |

i just ordered... noticed soneone on ebay selling for $11.24 shipped though.. cheaper without tax but ill stick with kmart just in case
