Oh, okay. I actually bought the xl with the v.me code yesterday so would've had buyers remorse if it did work. I do like the purple color, but I already have a regular ds so was just looking to upgrade to an xl.

xl is heaps better than the regular one. don't give in to the purple color! the pink and white xl one looks nice too

XL is definitely the way to go

FYI, I had to put a case/battery combo cover on my 3ds to play for a few hours because the included battery is junk.

the pixelation is easily ignored?

I have heard people talk about the pixelation but people say after a while you get used to it and don't even notice it.

Not speaking from personal experience, but the 3ds has enough resolution for the pixels to not be a glaring flaw unlike the DSi XL imo. Some games deserve a bigger screen, like Fire Emblem for instance. :3
