Now released Roku 3 $99.99 + FS

I'm looking into getting a Roku so good to know that a new product is out there before I buy something already obsolete. Rough crowd here, not easy to break through the cynicism.

Thanks for the info, I just bought the Roku XS yesterday not knowing the Roku 3 was coming out SO yes this a good deal in that point of view. As for price, they charge sales tax so might want to wait for amazon to get it.

I wish they would add a CinemaNow channel. I would like to have access to all my free movies from Best Buy a couple of years ago.

I like my Roku 2 XS that I got for $49.99 from Toys R Us.

I do like the headphone jack in the remote, but I don't think it is upgrade worthy, well at least not at this price.

I have four Rokus. Went with Roku for simplicity because I have three young kids and a wife that gets angry at any new tech that requires her to learn something new. She refuses to learn to use the android tablets that the rest of us use with ease, including my 2 year old daughter!

I'm grandfathered in with the YouTube channel, so that isn't an issue for us. But I was waiting for this new Roku in hopes that it had vastly improved its video format compatibility and increased its processor speed. Looks they didn't do anything with video formats. Bummer, cause I would have upgraded all four Rokus if that was the case.

There is a private channel called VideoBuzz that allows you to watch YouTube content. I wish I could have gotten the official channel, but it seem to be a good alternative for the time being.

Seconded. The Roku/Plex combo also replaced the Xbox w/XBMC running in my kids play area, it's easy enough for a toddler to use.
