yes, the new interface will be rolled out to all the Roku 2 devices in April.
The other main difference in my opinion is the dual core A9 processor, that is said to be 5 times faster than the current Arm11. Menus, channel loading, and even buffer time is said to be significantly faster. I have many rokus and love them. but I will say they are slow to load channels/menus. A faster processor is nothing to sneeze at.
Having said all that, I don't intend to upgrade my Roku 2 XS devices at this time. I'll wait for a slickdeal or even a refurb. Plus, I'm kinda waiting to see if the Ouya is going to make a good media streamer (not sure about remote though). I don't game, but the family does a lot of streaming. Simplicity will be very important for us since I'm trying to keep three young kids and an technophobe wife happy.

Also, Android HDMI sticks are making the Roku pretty much obsolete. You can buy a good Android stick for $50-$75, have access to Google Play and a load of apps/games that you're never going to get on a Roku box. Hard to believe Roku didn't just take the next logical step and craft a version of Jellybean for their system.

For youtube on Roku, you can load the videobuzz channel. It's just another way to get to youtube content. It has all your personal channels, favorites, etc. from youtube account.

If you want Youtube on your Roku then install PLEX and install the Youtube channel on your PLEX server. It works great and a big added bonus there are hundreds of extra channels in PLEX that are not offered in your stock Roku channel store. I have just about every network TV channels app in PLEX and am able to stream just about any show that is currently airing on it. Also the new Time Warner Cable App has about 10+ channels on it that I do not pay for and do not get on my regular cable service but I do get them for free with the TWC app for some reason.
