Time Warner Cable released their app for the Roku yesterday and it works great! It installed on mine in like 20 seconds. I already have a cable tuner and media extenders but if I didn't it would work great as a replacement for a cable box to save you extra money. http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-3319...-hands-on/
Also, Android HDMI sticks are making the Roku pretty much obsolete. You can buy a good Android stick for $50-$75, have access to Google Play and a load of apps/games that you're never going to get on a Roku box. Hard to believe Roku didn't just take the next logical step and craft a version of Jellybean for their system.
This, for the same price or less you can get a very nice android stick + remote, and can also play any movie file that you have on your computer.
i dont understand why some are saying this is stupid. This is the best streamer on the market. Better apps than WD livetv, netgear neo or apple tv. you shouldn't be comparing this to an android stick. Apples to oranges.
