Where can one find out about the local laws for riding one of these things? Is it like a bicycle or a motorcycle. Like I heard some laws require headlights to be added.

Update: Found it here for NJ (Google to the rescue):
http://www.dmv.org/nj-new-jersey/other-types.php

It says you need a motorcycle license to operate and have to get it registered, inspected and titled. Sounds complicated just to use to get to the local store. Should probably buy a bicycle instead. Fewer laws and better exercise.

I wonder how long this is going to be alive?

I'd love to get amazon to price match (I tried and they said no).

Also note they have the 1000 model for $300.

How can you be sure? Who or what makes that determination? Max speed? I saw one Amazon review which said he was required to add on a headline in order to comply with state law. Thanks.
